Well we did it! - Against all the odds and the troubles of last year, Moonfest 09 took place on Sunday 30th August. Twenty three bands played to a sellout audience and with the whole event being incident free........ apparently even the police were dancing to the rythm of Oi Sambistas!
I think for all of us who have been working on Moonfest from day one it was a very emotional day and a huge thank you from me goes to everyone who has had the strength and belief to follow my vision.
When we have finished clearing up which will take a few days, I am going to post photos and video clips up on the Moonfest web site but in the meantime a huge thank you to all the people who attended for making Moonfest 09 such a fantastic event and for all the bands, stewards, crew, medical teams and caterers for making Moonfest 09 such a fantastic show.
I think its fair to say that Moonfest really is back and here to stay. Keep your eyes on the web site, I plan to announce Moonfest 2010 SOON! John Green Moonfest Event Director
